SUSY searches at ATLAS

Natalia Panikashvili, University of Michigan &CERN

One of the main objectives of the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Colider is to
discover physics beyond the Standard Model. The search for Supersymmetry (SUSY),
is one of the most accredited and exciting extensions to the Standard Model. This talk
reviews the motivation for SUSY, illustrates some of the main experimental signatures for SUSY
at ATLAS, and presents the experiment\'s discovery reach, with particular reference
to the early stages of data taking.
Refreshments are served at 3:20pm
